LEONA VALLEY CHERRIES
Leona Valley is well known for its U Pic Cherry orchards. For over 50 years, people have enjoyed picking their own sweet and sour cherries. There are now about 10 orchards, most of which avoid the use of pesticides with some being certified organic. Many of them have picnic areas and sell cherry products. For more information, go to http://cherriesupic.com.
LVIA has sponsored an annual Cherry Parade and Festival on the first Saturday of June for over 40 years. Our 2016 Grand Marshal was Jan Clark, active member of many Leona Valley organizations. The Parade features lots of floats with local community queens, horses, and antique cars. Don't miss the deep fried cherry burritos! We also have a cherry pie eating contest, car show, live band and lots of craft vendors.
